6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use trusted third-party services (web hosting, email delivery, video conferencing) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements
- Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or court order
- Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of EDmazing Learning, our users, or others
- Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy
7. Teacher Accounts & Google Drive
Teachers create an account on edmazinglearning.com and connect their Google Drive to enable automatic saving of student PDF reports. Here's how that works:
Account Information
- Teachers create a login with a name, email address, and password
- Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing — we cannot see or retrieve your password
- Account information is used solely for authentication and service delivery
Google Drive Connection
- OAuth 2.0 authentication: Teachers authorize EDmazing Learning to save files to their Google Drive using Google's secure OAuth flow. We request only the minimum permissions necessary (file creation)
- Token storage: We store a secure access token to enable report uploads. This token grants access only to files created by EDmazing Learning, not to any other files in the teacher's Drive
- Teacher control: Teachers can revoke access at any time through their Google Account permissions
- No access to existing files: We cannot read, modify, or delete any files in the teacher's Drive that were not created by our platform
What We Store About Teachers
| Data | Purpose | Stored? |
|---|---|---|
| Name & email | Account login and communication | Yes — in our WordPress database |
| Hashed password | Authentication | Yes — securely hashed (not readable) |
| Google Drive OAuth token | Enable PDF report uploads | Yes — encrypted |
| Google account password | N/A | ❌ Never collected |
| Contents of teacher's Google Drive | N/A | ❌ Never accessed |
| Student report PDFs | N/A — go directly to teacher's Drive | ❌ Never stored by us |
8. Student Privacy
Student privacy is at the core of our platform design. Our assessment activities are architected so that student data never enters our database.
- No student accounts are created
- Only a first name and question responses are collected, within the browser session
- PDF reports are generated client-side and saved directly to the teacher's Google Drive
- We do not retain, store, or have ongoing access to student data
- Assessment activities do not use cookies, trackers, or analytics
For a comprehensive explanation of our student data practices, including AI features, data flow diagrams, and compliance details, please visit our dedicated Student Privacy page.
9. Online Tutoring Services
EDmazing Learning offers online tutoring sessions conducted via Zoom. During tutoring sessions, learners may also be directed to use third-party educational platforms such as Canva or other tools via shared links. Here is how data is handled during tutoring:
Data Collected for Tutoring
- Student first name and grade level — provided by the parent, guardian, or referring teacher for session planning
- Parent/guardian contact information — name and email address for scheduling and communication
- Subject area and learning goals — to personalize tutoring sessions
Data We Do NOT Collect During Tutoring
- ❌ No photographs or video recordings of students are captured or stored by EDmazing Learning
- ❌ No student last names are required
- ❌ No student accounts are created on our website for tutoring
Zoom Video Conferencing
Tutoring sessions are conducted through Zoom, a third-party video conferencing platform. When participating in a Zoom session:
- Zoom's own Privacy Policy applies to the use of their platform
- EDmazing Learning does not record video of tutoring sessions
- EDmazing Learning does not record the student's screen
- Zoom meeting links are shared only with the enrolled student's parent or guardian and are not posted publicly
- We recommend that parents supervise young learners during online sessions
Third-Party Learning Platforms Used During Sessions
During tutoring, students may be directed to use platforms such as Canva, Google Docs, or other educational tools via shared links. When using these platforms:
- Each platform's own privacy policy and terms of service apply
- EDmazing Learning does not create accounts on these platforms on behalf of students
- Students access shared content via links only — no login is required unless the platform requires it independently
- EDmazing Learning does not control or have access to data collected by these third-party platforms
10. Voice Recordings & Testimonials
EDmazing Learning may use audio-only voice recordings of students in marketing materials, such as testimonials on our website or social media. We take the following steps to protect student privacy when doing so:
What We Capture
- ✅ Voice only — audio recordings of student testimonials or feedback
What We Never Capture or Publish
- ❌ No photographs of students
- ❌ No video of students
- ❌ No full names — students are never identified by name in marketing materials
- ❌ No school names associated with a specific student
Consent Requirements
- Written consent is required from a parent or legal guardian before any voice recording of a student is captured for marketing purposes
- The consent form clearly describes how the recording will be used, where it may be published, and for how long
- Consent is voluntary — declining does not affect access to tutoring or any other EDmazing Learning service
- Parents may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at alisha@edmazinglearning.com, and we will promptly remove the recording from all marketing materials
How Recordings Are Stored
- Voice recordings are stored securely and accessible only to authorized EDmazing Learning personnel
- Recordings are used only for the specific marketing purpose described in the consent form
- Recordings are deleted upon request or when no longer needed for the consented purpose
11. AI Features
Every EDmazing Learning assessment includes an AI Learning Insight feature that automatically generates personalized recommendations for teachers based on student performance.
- Student scores and responses are sent to our secure server, which forwards a prompt to an AI language model
- The AI generates a one-time analysis that is embedded into the PDF report
- No student data is stored on our server or by the AI provider after the response is generated
- Student data is not used to train AI models
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections

We do not use any advertising networks, social media pixels, or data brokers on any part of our platform.
13. Data Security
We take the security of your information seriously and implement industry-standard measures:
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our server uses TLS/HTTPS encryption

- Access controls: Access to teacher account data and voice recordings is restricted to authorized personnel only
- Tutoring session security: Zoom meeting links are shared privately and not posted publicly
- Minimal student data: Our "privacy by architecture" approach means student data never enters our database, eliminating the most common breach vector
No system can guarantee 100% security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at alisha@edmazinglearning.com.

16. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Our marketing website and teacher accounts are intended for adults (teachers, administrators, parents). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our website.
Assessment Activities
Our student-facing assessment activities are designed for classroom use where the teacher or school acts as the consenting party on behalf of parents, consistent with FTC COPPA guidance for school-authorized educational tools. Within these activities:
- We collect only a first name and question responses — the minimum necessary for the educational purpose
- We do not use student data for any commercial purpose
- Student data is not retained after the session ends
Tutoring Services
For online tutoring, all enrollment and communication is conducted through the parent or guardian, not directly with the child. We collect only the student's first name, grade level, and learning goals — provided by the parent — to deliver effective tutoring.
Voice Recordings
Voice recordings of minors for marketing purposes are captured only with prior written consent from a parent or legal guardian. No student is ever identified by name, photograph, or likeness. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
17. Legal Compliance
EDmazing Learning is committed to complying with applicable privacy laws and regulations, including:
- FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) — We operate as a "school official" when used as directed by educators
- COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) — We collect only the minimum data necessary and rely on school or parental consent as appropriate
- Texas HB 18 (Securing Children Online through Parental Empowerment Act) — We do not create student accounts, profile minors, or use student data for advertising
